The Curiosity Lab is dedicated to connecting children with nature. This summer we invite young explorers to join us for one of our Outdoor Nature Exploration Camps along the magnificent San Mateo Coast.
Every day we head to a different location, each one carefully selected to bring a sense of wonder and joy. We start the day connecting with nature by hiking on a trail, discovering secluded mountain creeks and waterfalls, exploring tide pools, marveling at majestic redwoods, scrambling over boulders or simply walking barefoot along a sandy beach.
As we explore, we become curious about local ecosystems and habitats, plant and animal adaptations, bugs, fungi, lichen and anything else we may encounter as we notice and note the beauty of nature and place.
After lunch, it’s time for free play, exploration and making new friends. Splash in a creek, examine a bug, sketch in a journal, make friends with a tree, build a sand castle, fly a kite or simply bask in the sun.
Time: 8:30-3:30
Extended care to 4:30
Cost: $550

Beach Days! Come spend the last lazy days of summer playing at the beach!
The Curiosity Lab is leaving the hot dusty trails and cooling off on the coast. Each day we’ll visit a different location.
While we will NOT be swimming in ocean, we will be exploring tide pools, digging, building sand castles, collecting sea shells, flying kites, blowing bubbles and having lots of fun.
Join us for just a day or two, or for the whole week!
