Every day, a new ecosystem. Every week, an adventure.
The Curiosity Lab takes children ages 5-11 on immersive journeys through California’s most stunning coastal landscapes—from ancient redwood groves to hidden mountain creeks, waterfalls to sandy beaches and tide pools.
No screens. No wifi. No structured activities every minute. Just kids, nature, and the magic that happens when you slow down and pay attention.
Led by a former elementary teacher with over 30 years of outdoor education experience, our small-group camps (just 13 children max, 7:1 adult/child ratio) focus on wonder, curiosity, and deep sensory connection to nature.
Each morning we hike, explore, and learn about local ecosystems—discovering newts in creeks, tracking wildlife, identifying native plants, marveling at banana slugs, examining tide pool creatures. Each afternoon is unstructured free play: splash in creeks, build sand castles, climb boulders, examine bugs, make art, make friends with trees, or simply bask in the sun and watch the clouds.
We travel together in Gladys, our beloved and trusted ladybug van, making each day’s journey part of the adventure.
Small groups. Big nature. Real wonder. Deep curiosity.
It’s time to get out, get dirty, and get happy!
